The Client
Ellen Minetto was a sitting member of the Washoe County School board that was up for re-election to a second term in 2022. She is also a former colleague of our CEO, Kurt Thigpen, and worked with him on the school board.
As a former school teacher, you couldn’t say she was a politician or an expert at marketing. She just knew how to talk to parents and students.
So, Ace Studios was tapped to help with her re-election campaign and we were happy to help a strong advocate for public education!
Challenges
- Ellen was very behind on fundraising, had no social media profiles, and even lacked a website to let people get to know her
- Her opponent had been out already for months getting her name out there
- Assembling a team of key players

The Client
Focus in Photography is a photography operation, owned by Vanessa Simpson and based out of Tacoma, Washington.
Vanessa loves the thrill of shooting weddings, has taken head shots and stock photography for several small businesses in Reno and Seattle, has documented non-profit and local events, and has had her art featured in the Reno Gazette Journal, Reno Tahoe Tonight Magazine, and Mabel Magazine.

Beaujolais Bistro is an authentic French restaurant located in Reno, Nevada.
With preparation rooted in French technique, balance is an essential component of developing the meals at Beaujolais. From the food to the finer details, they design every meal with perfect drink pairings to complement your dish.
Ace Studios was brought in to help freshen up Beaujolais’ website and other assets that hadn’t been updated in years.

Ace Studios is proud to announce the completion of this quite unique “code-build” project. Geologica is a geothermal resource and solutions company that provides high-end geothermal consulting and has expertise in geology, hydrogeology, geochemistry, resource exploration, development, and management, regulatory compliance, civil engineering and much more!
The map build lives in the projects tab in the Geologica website and essentially acts as a database in which users can navigate and explore the many projects (implemented by blue or red circles) that Geologica has completed around the globe! Furthermore, some of the projects are expandable by clicking on them. Blue circles are clickable and take the user to a page containing more details about the specific project, while red circles are simply placed for other projects with no extra details available.

The Details
SDMNevada.org is a community education project put together by the Self-Determination Law Project.
The Self-Determination Law Project is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation that was formed for the sole purpose of providing community education and outreach to inform the public about Nevada’s Supported Decision Making law.
Ace Studios was commissioned to help the project create the informational website to assist people with disabilities in Nevada to know what resources are available to them in making decisions for themselves.
