About The School
In 2020, Pinecrest Academy of Northern Nevada was a prospective public charter school located in Sparks, NV, aiming to serve students and families in the Sparks, Spanish Springs, and Sun Valley areas.
With a commitment to bilingual education and community engagement, Pinecrest Academy sought to establish itself as a beacon of quality education and inclusivity within the region.
Ace Studios was hired to help the school reach their enrollment numbers so that they could successfully open their doors to the community!
Goals
The primary goal of Pinecrest Academy was to secure enrollment of 710 students to obtain approval from the State Public Charter School Authority for opening its doors.
This ambitious target aimed to ensure the viability and sustainability of the school’s operations while fulfilling its mission of providing accessible education to underserved communities.
Challenges Faced:
Pinecrest Academy encountered several challenges in its quest to achieve its enrollment target, notably exacerbated by the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Restrictions on gatherings, uncertainty among prospective families, and heightened competition posed significant obstacles to the school’s enrollment efforts.
So, the Ace Studios team did what it does best – get creative.
Solutions
To address these challenges head-on, we implemented the following:
- Guerrilla Marketing Campaign: Engaging the community through strategic events and local ambassadors (prior to the pandemic).
- Digital Marketing Strategy: Crafted tailored content for online platforms frequented by the target demographic in the area.
- Online Advertising: Created and deployed hyperlocal ads on social media and Google Display Ads in both English and Spanish to maximize reach and engage with diverse communities.
- Brand Awareness Campaigns: Enhancing brand visibility and reputation within the area for those who were unfamiliar with the school’s model.
Results
Despite the unprecedented challenges posed by the pandemic, the collaborative efforts between Pinecrest Academy and Ace Studios yielded remarkable results.
Pinecrest Academy not only met its goal of 710 student enrollments but ended up having a waitlist of 285 students by the end of the year.
Through innovative approaches and community-centric engagement, Ace Studios helped Pinecrest Academy successfully position itself as a leading educational institution committed to serving and empowering its diverse student body.
The team at Ace Studios worked with us in opening our campus during the pandemic. They listened to and collaborated with us to get a deep understanding of our marketing and enrollment objectives and created a comprehensive marketing plan to address those needs. Ultimately our reach and impact were successful and we were able to open our school at our needed capacity.
